Welcome on IBL Website!

You will discover the full extent of our involvement in the country's economic activities by going through the pages of our website. The continued success of Ireland Blyth Limited has been built on solid foundations embodied in our Mission Statement and Corporate Values. We believe in harmonious and mutually rewarding relationships with all our stakeholders, with whom we want to build long-term partnerships.
In 2011, IBL reviewed its Vision, Mission and Values. These are now at the core of all our strategic decision-making, helping IBL to embark on a new chapter in our history.
IBL’s vision is “To be the Group that goes beyond boundaries to create value”.
Our mission is “We promote synergies, innovation and efficiency, through our diversity and entrepreneurship, for the benefit of all”.
Our values are “passion”, “ethics”, “customer focus”, “creativity”, and “teamwork”.
IBL is a very diversified group, celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2012. How do you explain its success?
IBL’s story goes back to the 19th Century, when Ireland Fraser and Blyth Brothers established themselves in Mauritius. In 1972, a few years after Mauritius gained its independence, the two companies merged to become Ireland Blyth Limited. Historically one of the main pillars of the Mauritian economy, IBL now has more than 7,000 employees. With a deep-rooted culture of excellence, the Group plays a leading role in a variety of business sectors: Commerce, Engineering, Financial Services, Logistics, Aviation & Shipping, Retail, Seafood & Marine. This diversity, and the number of global brands which the Group represents on the local and regional markets, ensures that IBL holds a special place in the everyday life of every Mauritian. It has become an institution which inspires respect, appreciation and confidence.
IBL has remained at the forefront of the private sector and national development through entrepreneurship, innovation and hard work and by putting our customers and our expertise at the core of our development strategy. We also contribute to the social development of our country by supporting some one hundred projects which focus on vulnerable children. We are also committed to the ‘Maurice Ile Durable’ concept and our dedicated efforts have made a successful impact on environmental issues.
How do you see IBL’s future?
We are determined to continue with our vision of sustainable development and to actively participate in the future of our country. To sustain our growth and development, IBL has taken up the challenges of diversification and synergy as well as innovation and technology, in Mauritius and beyond. We aim to differentiate ourselves, to give added value to everyday products, to offer something new to local, regional and international markets, always ensuring that we respect the needs of those markets. We are committed to looking beyond our frontiers.
