| Mer des Mascareignes, a joint venture between seafood hub ltd(IBL) and Sapmer of Reunion Island, is a new EU approved state of the art frozen fish processing plant. Built in the freeport zone, adjacent to the cold room facility of Froid des Mascareignes, Mer des Mascareignes is a 2000 sq metre processing factory with a capacity of 2400 tons of finished product per year. Based on the single frozen Japanese technique, Pelagic and demersal species from freezer vessels is offloaded and transformed into end customer products such as boneless and skinless steaks, cubes, portions and loins individually vacuum packed to the clients specifications.
