As our Safety & Health Officer, you will work for the Corporate Office and provide services to Bloomage. You will also be involved in Safety & Health project implementation at different companies of IBL operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that all requirements as per Occupational Safety & Health act and Mauritius Fire Rescue Service act are adhered to.
  • Assess the need for preventive measures to safety the safety and health of employees and any other collaborators within the company
  • Design and conduct appropriate safety induction and training session and ensure training records are maintained.
  • Assist the Safety & Health Group Manager.
  • Plan and organize Health and Wellness activities
  • Accident claim monitoring
  • Report and advise about safety & health matters and provide recommendation to comply with law.
  • Drafting of Safety & Health reports following inspections and audits.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health
  • At least 2 years’ proven experience.
  • Proven track record of conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Effective communication and training skills, with the ability to convey safety information clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent Organisational Skills.
  • First Aid certification will be an advantage
