Accountant

Fondation Joseph Lagesse (FJL), a charitable institution, whose mission is to reduce poverty in a sustainable manner, is looking for a fully qualified dynamic Accountant, to strengthen its team to face increasing financial reporting challenges and contribute to its growth.

The Accountant will report to the organisation’s Manager and will be responsible of the whole day to day accounting process for Fondation Joseph Lagesse and Nou Zenfan Bois Marchand Ltd and Chemin Rail and Amaury Housing Ltd (C/o FJL)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handling day to day accounting operations and recording on the organisations’ accounting software
  • Payments preparation via cheques and bank transfers for FJL, Nou Zenfan Bois Marchand and CRAH
  • Monitor daily cashflows and bank balances
  • Cashflow preparation including quarterly forecast and projection of expenses
  • Preparation and presentation of the annual budget
  • Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts and schedules
  • Preparation of monthly bank reconciliation
  • Handle the Financial audit procedures, liaise with the organisation’s auditors and provide necessary schedules and supporting documents requested
  • Manage Intercompany loans transactions
  • Any other cognate duties related to finance

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant degree in Business Administration and/or Finance or Accounting
  • ACCA/ACA qualified
  • At least 2 years’ experience in the Accounting field as Accountant;
  • Knowledge of Grants management and CSR regulations will be an advantage;
