Accountant

We are recruiting an organized and detail-oriented Accountant to support our finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks. This role will require maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the job incumbent will be mainly required to:

Key Responsibilities

Prepare financial statements and reports.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Reconcile bank statements and maintain general ledger accounts.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.
Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Prepare and submit VAT and tax returns in compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data for analysis.
Assist in audits by preparing relevant documentation and reports.
Support the Finance Manager in providing timely information for any strategic analysis as and when required by management.

Qualifications & Experience

BSc in Accounting or Finance or equivalent ACCA/ACA Level 3
4 to 5 years of accounting experience

Other Prerequisites

Ability to work within strict deadlines and reporting timetables.
Strongly detail-oriented with a heavy focus on maintaining accuracy and integrity of account.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team
Well versed with computer softwares, including Excel (vlook ups and pivot tables) and Accounting packages.
