Accountant

The Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts. This role involves generating and analysing accounting data to support management in the decision-making process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial postings are accurately recorded.
  • Analyse and report on financial status including variances, trends, revenues, costs, financial obligations and KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings, including VAT and TDS.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and in annual valuation exercise.
  • Contribute to the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
  • Assist in audit exercises, including preparation of necessary documentation and addressing auditor queries.
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures across departments.
  • Monitor the Project Register and reconcile with financial records.
  • Review bank reconciliations and accounts payable reconciliations.
  • Participate in special financial projects or initiatives as assigned.
  • Train and supervise junior staff.
  • Attend to any other cognate duties.

Qualifications & Experience

  • ACCA Level 2 and studying towards the completion of ACCA certification or any equivalent qualification
  • At least 3 years of work experience
