Assistant Accountant

Blychem Ltd, a company in the sales of Hygiene chemicals, Water treatment solutions, Irrigation supplies, Agro Chemical Products and Swimming Pool treatment is looking for a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join its existing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and year-end Financial Statements and budgets.
  • Assist in cashflow monitoring, preparation of bank reconciliation, and perform statutory returns (VAT, TDS, EPF).
  • Perform daily and monthly sales reconciliation.
  • Participate in inventory counts and update and maintain fixed asset register.
  • Execute audit checks on petty cash and assist in the establishment of internal controls as per accounting policies.
  • Prepare reports for analysis as and when required.
  • Assist the Accounts Manager in the day-to-day running of the department.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • ACCA partly qualified (Min. Level 2)
  • At least 4-5 years’ working experience in a similar role within a commercial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel application and any accounting package.

OTHER PREREQUISITES

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Good planning and coordinating skills.
  • A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Being a Self-starter and self-motivated is critical.
  • Must be available to work odd hours and meet tight deadlines.
  • Not allergic to chemicals.
