Assistant Human Capital Manager

Froid des Mascareignes is presently looking for an Assistant Human Capital Manager who is people oriented and provide people services from recruitment through to retirement and everything in between. Main Duties

  • Partner with key internal and external stakeholders to create and drive value added Human Capital initiatives and solutions
  • Assist in developing and implementing Human Capital policies and procedures, along with setting up Human Capital systems and processes for the entity
  • Analyse trends and present Human Capital metrics to develop solutions, programs and policies; produce accurate dashboards and reports that will allow for strategic decision making
  • Assist in driving the HC function to cultivate an environment focused on performance and continuous process improvement
  • Well versed in talent management process, developing learning and development initiatives at all levels
  • Assist in payroll activities and reporting
  • Coordinate recruitment process including draft job descriptions and adverts, shortlist candidates, run interviews, perform reference checks and issue contracts of employment contracts
  • Maintain the HRMS and participate in initiatives in line with the HC digitalisation
  • Establish processes and documentation relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc)
  • Coordinate HR projects across the business unit
  • Day to day running of Human Capital function in the business unit, properly handling complaints and grievance procedures
  • Establish, develop and maintain healthy industrial relations across the entity
  • Ensure a meaningful employee experience during the employee life cycle

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in related area
  • Hands-on experience with an HRIS or HRMS
  • Excellent knowledge of Employment Laws in Mauritius

  • A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to communicate with people at different levels
  • Able to effectively handle multiple priorities, organise workload and meet deadlines
  • Analytical Skills – Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
  • Most importantly, high standards of ethics
