Communications Officer

Reporting to the Head of Human Capital, the job incumbent will be mainly required to:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the organization of internal and external communication/marketing activities and events
  • Develop and edit communication materials (blog posts, social media content, press releases, speeches)
  • Maintain updated company information on corporate website and social media
  • Perform daily media watch and ensure business relevant information is relayed to Management
  • Write and distribute content to promote the company’s products, brand, and activities
  • Coordinate the submission of information to external stakeholders such as media and advertising agencies
  • Coordinate with IBL Communication Department for Group initiatives that must be implemented in the Company
  • Review all templates used internally to ensure proper standards and harmonization across the Company
  • Create and produce internal newsletters for the company
  • Maintain digital media archives for all departments (photos, videos, articles)
  • Ensure consistency in the brand image – logos on company vehicle, equipment, display/sign boards
  • Prepare and manage the organization’s communication budget

Qualifications & Experience

  • BSc in Communication / Public Relations or any equivalent qualification
  • 5 years of proven working experience in a similar position
  • Experience in social media, in an advertising or event agency would be an advantage

Other Requisites

  • Excellent written and oral skills in both English and French
  • Systematic, rigorous with an eye for details
  • Conversant with MS Office applications, Acrobat Professional, Photoshop or any Graphic Design software
  • Strong knowledge of social media as a communication tool
