Financial Control Manager

IBL Logistics is a diversified sector of activities with operations spanning from the Aviation and Shipping sector to Freight forwarding and Logistics operations – regrouping an array of distinct business activities across Mauritius and in the region.

The Cluster is looking for an experienced and talented Financial Control Manager with demonstrated abilities to manage a position of leadership who can add value by working proactively with a variety of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

The position main responsibilities will entail the following:

  • Design, implement and review finance policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement and embed relevant up to date practices.
  • Smoothen processes particularly for tasks such as preparing financial statements, budget reports, forecasts, cost analysis reports.
  • Develop standardized internal control framework of the cluster and review existing controls in place and propose any necessary revisions or additions.
  • Maintain a monthly Internal control matrix of the cluster and provide regular updates through a risk register.
  • Maintain strong systems and controls to ensure adequate documentation, audit trails and policies and procedures are in place and adhered to.
  • Assist in the evaluation of any weaknesses in internal accounting controls and in the implementation of action plan for remedial.
  • Actively seek automation, apply and implement best practices for managing internal controls.
  • Provide strategic insight to senior management on a proactive and as-requested basis.
  • Review of process and controls aspects which will ensure that the pricing process correctly captures the relevant information, is complete and can be relied upon.
  • Ensuring that stock control / inventory processes remain relevant and no control deficiencies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Fully ACCA qualified.
  • Auditing experience will constitute an advantage.
  • At least 5 years experience at a management position.
  • Extensive knowledge of electronic spreadsheet and analytical skills.
