Head of Security Control & Compliance

LAS is currently looking for a HSCC, a senior-level Manager who will be responsible for developing and overseeing the security strategies, policies and procedures across the Seafood and LAS business clusters in accordance with the company’s policy, regulations and standards, and local laws.

The HSCC will report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Seafood and LAS Clusters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and establish best practices in terms of procedures and policies to avoid any kind of security breach.
  • Ensure that the organization meets all the security requirements to avoid any harm to its assets – products, resources and others.
  • Act as liaison between local authorities and legal teams (in-house and external) in case of any security related event or incident.
  • Implement and communicate the clusters’ security policies.
  • Identify and mitigate security risks by conducting risks assessments and operational audits.
  • Manage contractual obligations with in-house and/or outsourced security service providers.
  • Inculcate the security culture by organizing security awareness trainings for all members within the clusters and work in collaboration with risk management and Safety & Health teams to minimize risks for all employees.
  • Take appropriate measures to avoid any breach of security protocols in-place and assist in-house investigations.
  • Advise top management on security risk appetites for each business within the clusters.
  • Implement business continuity plans (BCPs) and security crisis management plans to ensure that all businesses and their respective departments are well synchronized if a business continuity event or security crisis occurs.
  • Prepare reports and business cases on security risks identified, business exposure to these risks, controls in place and required, and the status of risk management and compliance frameworks.
  • Develop and run business continuity and security crisis scenarios to test response in terms of security and, based on results, advise on any improvements.
  • Develop and propose security budgets for the clusters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree holder in Management or any other related field.
  • At least 8 years’ experience in a similar position or in a security related position.

Other Requisites

  • Deep expertise in security best practices, risk management, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Knowledge and understanding of analytical methods used to measure and communicate key security controls and performances metrics (KPIs).
  • High level of personal integrity, as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters, and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity.
  • Strategic thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driving licence.
  • Ability to proactively lead or create a network of internal and external stakeholders and interested parties, to challenge or lead thinking in security strategies, risk and compliance.
