Human Capital Manager

Eagle Insurance Limited is looking for an experienced Human Capital Manager who will oversee and drive its Human Capital Department.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the job incumbent will be responsible for providing strategic and operational support to the Company, in line with its business goals, while ensuring alignment to the Human Capital Group strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement Human Capital Strategies, in order to support the growth and objectives of the Company.
  • Design and execute employee engagement initiatives, such as team-building activities, recognition programs, celebratory events, wellness initiatives amongst others to create a vibrant working environment and positive work culture.
  • Coordinate the recruitment process & succession planning to ensure that the Company is adequately always staffed.
  • Develop & implement an onboarding programme to ensure new employees feel welcomed and integrated into the Company culture.
  • Maintain the Company’s remuneration framework as well as performance management system and develop & implement a competency framework.
  • Develop a Training & Development strategy to enable team members to continuously improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Provide coaching and support to team members on performance management, conflict resolution, and career development.
  • Actively listen to employee feedback, monitor employee morale and develop strategies to address any issues or areas of improvement.
  • Implement and maintain HR policies and procedures that promote fairness, transparency, and ethical behavior.
  • Analyse trends and present Human Capital metrics to develop solutions, initiatives, and policies.
  • Prepare HC budgets and present HC strategy to senior management/directors.
  • Manage external relations with related partners such as legal counsels and other HR practitioners/associations/forums.
  • Manage the HC team & ensure that all team members are contributing and are aligned to the strategy of the department and Company as a whole.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience at Management level.
  • A mature and experienced HR Professional with an experience in strategic Human Resources Management.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Knowledge of Employment laws with excellent communication, analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong team player working with cross functional teams and ability to easily develop a rapport with team members.
  • People oriented and results driven.
