Are you an experienced professional in maintenance management looking for your next challenge? Froid des Mascareignes Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee and drive our maintenance activities and procedures.

 

About the Role
As the Maintenance Manager, you will lead a team of skilled Technicians to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all equipment and facilities. Your expertise will play a key role in minimizing downtime, maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement in maintenance practices. You will work closely with other departments to support operational excellence in our state-of-the-art seafood facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all maintenance operations, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Manage a team of technicians & admin, assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring performance.
  • Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to optimize equipment reliability and performance.
  • Lead and mentor the maintenance team to achieve departmental goals.
  • Provide technical expertise and hands-on support where required.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and quality standards in all maintenance activities.
  • Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Manage the maintenance budget and ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, equipment status, and inventory.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support seamless operations and meet production targets.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors for outsourced maintenance work.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Maintenance Manager or in a similar leadership role

Other Requisites

  • In-depth knowledge of Electromechanical engineering including refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, welding or facilities maintenance.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of maintenance systems, safety regulations, electromechanical engineering, welding, facilities and industry best practices.
  • Ability to manage budgets, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to guide a team to achieve goals and create a positive work environment.
