Payroll & Administrative Officer

The IBL Commercial Engineering Cluster, operating within four diversified business units, is looking for a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join the team as Payroll & Administrative Officer. The incumbent will coordinate the payroll and administrative activities and provide service to the different Business Units within the cluster.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Payroll Analyst in the day to day running of payroll processes though the Dayforce System.
  • Maintain accurate employee’s information on payroll system.
  • Adheres to payroll policies and procedures and complies with relevant legislation.
  • Identifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records for all Business Units.
  • Devise systematic monthly HR & Payroll reports for record-keeping purposes and managerial review.
  • Coordinate requests for leave and other absences.
  • Assist the Training department regarding HRDC submissions and follow up.
  • Provide administrative support to the wider HR team as and when required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in management preferably in Accounting.
  • 5 years track record in a similar role.
  • Fluent in MS Excel and Human Resource Information Systems.

OTHER PREREQUISITES

  • Good planning and coordinating skills.
  • An eye for details
  • Holder of a valid driving license.
  • Self-starter and ability to be multi tasked.
  • Must be available to work odd hours and meet tight deadlines.
  • A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
