Procurement Specialist

Blychem Ltd, a company in the sales of Hygiene chemicals, Water treatment solutions, Irrigation supplies, Agro Chemical Products and Swimming Pool treatment is looking for a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join its existing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain a network of suppliers both local and overseas.
Lead and negotiate purchase terms and conditions.
Lead a team of sourcing and procurement officers.
Prepare and issue purchase orders.
Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns diligently.
Compare available goods with industry trends to determine appropriate pricing.
Analyze industry and demand trends in terms of sourcing strategies.
Track inventory and restock goods when needed.
Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve shortcomings.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
Proven track record in a similar role within a commercial environment at supervisory level.
A sound knowledge of import procedures.

OTHER PREREQUISITES

Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies.
Good communication, interpersonal, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to build long-term relationship with suppliers.
Proficiency in all Microsoft products and with business application software, purchasing and resource planning systems.
