Quality Officers

Winners, the leading supermarket chain in Mauritius, is looking for dynamic Quality Officers to consolidate its quality team. The incumbents will report to the Operational Excellence Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure that instructions and procedures are properly implemented and maintained.
Carry out daily inspections and regular process-based audits.
Ensure that all stakeholders adhere to food safety rules and actively support the teams for creating a proper food safety culture.
Ensure that all food safety records are documented as per standards and readily available.
Provide regular food safety training to the teams.
Perform root cause analysis for any failure detected in the system.
Follow-up with the Human Capital teams regarding the Food Handlers certificates.
Provide up-to-date data for analysis as and when required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Diploma/Degree in Food Science and Technology or equivalent qualification
Conversant with MS Office Suite
Experience in the retail or hospitality sector will constitute an advantage

OTHER REQUISITES:

Positive proactive team player with a dynamic personality
Effective communication, organizational and time management skills
Ability to demonstrate analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Detail and results-oriented
Ability to work under pressure
Available to work on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, as well as odd hours
Holder of a valid driving license
