Software Developer Trainee

We are seeking a dedicated and tech-savvy individual to join our team as Software Developer Trainee for the upcoming Go-live of our System. This temporary assignment spans 3 months and will involve assisting with the seamless transition to our new software platform, ensuring efficient onboarding of customers, and providing support to drivers and contractors throughout the implementation phase.

Reporting to the Product Development Executive, the job incumbent will be mainly required to:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with Go-live by playing a pivotal role in the successful deployment of the software, ensuring all functionalities are operational and user-friendly.
  • Support Trial Run by collaborating with the team to facilitate the trial run, ensuring smooth execution and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
  • Undertake the cleansing of master data and conduct rigorous testing prior to upload onto the Live system, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Review pickup and drop-off address details stored in System, updating GPS locations where necessary to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new customers onto the system, including the creation of master data and providing guidance on system usage.
  • Conduct training sessions for site supervisors, contractors, and external drivers on the utilization of Mission portals for managing bookings and tasks.
  • Install driver apps on smartphones and provide comprehensive training to drivers on app functionality and usage.
  • Act as a point of contact for drivers, providing timely support and troubleshooting assistance for any issues encountered while using the driver app.
  • Perform daily monitoring of job statuses and ensure timely completion by drivers, maintaining a high standard of service delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Alternatively, relevant vocational training or certifications in software applications and mobile technologies.

OTHER PREREQUISITES

  • Familiarity with software systems, mobile applications, and GPS technology is essential for this role.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and experience in data editing will be advantageous for data cleansing tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with contractors, external drivers, and team members is crucial, both verbally and in writing.
