Supermarket Assistant Manager

Winners, the leading supermarket chain in Mauritius, is looking for Supermarket Assistant Managers to consolidate its operational team within its various supermarkets. The incumbents will be responsible for the growth and profitability of the outlets by assisting in meeting sales and profitability goals of the outlets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Supermarket Manager in the day-to-day operational requirements of the outlet.
  • Participate in the reception of orders, stock controls and organisation of inventories.
  • Daily follow-up of sales by category and product line.
  • Assist in the monitoring of competition and new markets and concepts.
  • Assist in the implementation of new commercial actions including commercial action plan, promotions, merchandising and displays.
  • Work on customer satisfaction regarding product availability, choice and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Motivate, engage and lead staffs through appropriate Human Capital approach.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Business, Management OR any other equivalent qualification
  • 4 years of experience in Management, Retail, Manufacturing sector or any similar environment
  • Conversant with MS Office package
  • Good understanding of the local FMCG sector or Retail business can be an advantage

  • Ability to demonstrate analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Detail and results-oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Available to work on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, as well as odd hours
  • Holder of a valid driving license
