Technician – Refrigeration

Winners, the leading supermarket chain in Mauritius, is looking for a Technician for the maintenance, servicing and repairing of all refrigeration systems within the organization to ensure operational reliability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, servicing and repairs on refrigeration plants and compressors.
  • Weld K65 piping systems and troubleshoot commercial refrigeration systems.
  • Install new refrigeration systems and service existing setups.
  • Maintain accurate records of refrigerant gases and system maintenance.
  • Conduct daily, monthly and yearly maintenance checks as required.
  • Assist in various maintenance tasks and support the Maintenance Team as needed.
  • Undertake mechanical, electrical and plumbing repairs across the facility.
  • Ensure all working areas adhere to Occupational Safety & Health policies.
  • Provide detailed reports and maintain good housekeeping of machine rooms.
  • Train and evaluate assistant technicians, promoting teamwork and productivity.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Maintenance and Production Mechanics or any other relevant qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Extensive knowledge of refrigeration systems and HVAC maintenance.
  • Good understanding of the local FMCG sector or Retail business can be an advantage
  • Holder of a valid driving license
