Transport Officer

Logidis Ltd is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Transport Officer who will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Vehicle Services department.

Reporting to the Supervisor, the job incumbent will be mainly required to:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee planning and its procedures & operations and follow up of mails and phone calls.
  • Ensures that that all vehicles which are part of company’s fleet, are legally safe on the road in terms of legal paperwork, maintenance, and new governmental rules.
  • Keep a record of all expiration of legal documentations. (Insurance, Fitness, Road Tax, etc)
  • Follow up of accidents reports until repairs are done.
  • Follow up for acquisition, disposal, and transfer of ownership – motor vehicles.
  • Follow up of maintenance and repairs of vehicles at workshops.
  • Deal with authorities (Licences & taxes)
  • Deal with stakeholders (Garages, insurances, etc)
  • Perform other related cognitive duties as required by the management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Higher School Certificate
  • 3 years’ experience in a Logistics & Transport Industry or any related field

  • Team player with a focus on results.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Positive attitude and outlook.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry, including road traffic laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office tools.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license (required for test drives as needed).
